The Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pickup and Delivery and Parcel Lockers

Customers’ expectations of timely and accurate delivery pickup online purchases pose a new challenge to last-mile delivery. When the goods sent customers are not received, they must be returned warehouse. This situation provides high additional cost. Parcel locker systems convenience stores have been launched solve this problem serve as payment stations. research investigates distribution in augmented system with three service modes: home pickup, parcel or pickup. Previously, simultaneous time windows (SDPPTW) only considered customers. The proposed addresses options. is called vehicle routing lockers (VRPSPDPL). formulated mathematical model developed two simulated annealing (SA) algorithms problem. goal minimize total traveling Since there no existing benchmark instances for problem, we generate based on SDPPTW instances. experimental results show that effective efficient solving VRPSPDPL.
